I own the Witcher series, Skyrim, & Fallout 4 but I haven’t made it through a full playthrough of any of them. So, um, I’ve played the above-mentioned games. (And I just realised that I might’ve answered the wrong question.
Outside of that, I’d have to add Final Fantasy X & X-2 and Persona 3 Portable P3 FES & Persona 4/G are both really good, but Minako/the FeMC is my favourite Atlus protagonist to date. If I want to go back to Thedas but don’t have 80-100 hours to set aside, Kirkwall is waiting for me.Īnd, since I’m complete Bioware trash, most of my other favourite RPGS are theirs as well: DAO & DAI, obviously, but I also love the Mass Effect trilogy and Andromeda, and Knights of the Old Republic & SWTOR.
It’s also the easiest game to get into- I love the whole series but both DAO & DAI require a decent amount of introductory world-building to play through before the game starts proper (post-Ostagar & Haven, respectively). I love Hawke, I support mage rights, and I love the whole merry band of misfits (even Carver). I get why people don’t like it but I love it.
My absolute favourite RPG is probably Dragon Age II. But I know they’re incredibly loved games.Įdit 2: Totally forgot Baldurs Gate, Diablo Series, Dungeon Siege I & II, Neverwinter Nights and probably loads of others. To me, they always felt like games/stories that rented the Star Wars universe and didn’t actually belong there. But I will say out of all the RPGs I’ve completed, the top three will always be Chrono Trigger, FFVI and Xenogears.Įdit: I think the most overrated rpgs of all time are the KOTOR games. Three decades of RPGs is hard to remember. Then of course you’ve got more modern favorites like the Witcher series, the Elder Scrolls Morrowind through Skyrim, every Fallout, KOTOR I & II, Dragon Age and Dragon Age: Origins, Evoland II and I’m just gonna stop here. Oh yeah, might as well add Harvest Moon and Harvest Moon 64. All who pre-order the game on Shiro Games’ website will receive a 10% discount along with a digital art book.My top RPGs I’ve completed would probably be: Chrono Trigger, FFVI, FFVII, FFVIII, FF tactics, FFIX, FFX, Xenogears, Secret of Evermore, Secret of Mana, Grandia, Breath of Fire III & IV, Valkyrie Profile, Suikoden 2, Wild Arms, Dragon Quest VIII, Lunar: Silver Star Story, Lunar: Eternal Blue, Panzer Dragoon Saga and I’m sure many others I’ve forgotten over the years.
It reminds me a bit of ATLUS’ 2010 game, 3D Dot Game Heroes, and I mean that in the best way possible!Įvoland 2: A Slight Case of Spacetime Continuum Disorder is slated for release on Windows PC this summer, with Mac and Linux releases later this year. Each event in time changes the landscape to different periods in video game history (8-bit side-scrolling platformers, top-down RPGs, 3D fighting games, 3D adventure games, etc.). In Evoland 2, players are a hero who must save his world by understanding events throughout different timelines and alter them to save the future. “ Evoland 2 stays true to its classic RPG adventure roots but also offers a host of fantastic new additions, including more in-depth and longer play sessions that really add to the overall fun and leave a memorable experience.” “We are very excited to finally show our fans and new players alike what we’ve been working on for Evoland 2, as we’re expanding on our original vision in big way,” said Nicolas Cannasse, creator of Evoland. Now today brings us the first trailer for its sequel, Evoland 2: A Slight Case of Spacetime Continuum Disorder. It has been a little over two years since we first played Shiro Games’ adventure RPG, Evoland.
